CLAT- THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND BEFORE AND DURING THE EXAM

This short blog will try to explain things to keep in mind before and during the exam. I have tried to keep it as short and crisp as possible.  (Caveat- All the advice is based on my personal experience as a CLAT 2021 aspirant who scored 104.75 marks and secured an AIR 67).  BEFORE THE EXAM-  1. ANXIETY IS INVERSELY PROPORTIONAL TO CONCENTRATION -  CLAT being a reading-intensive exam requires a good amount of concentration. Take a chill pill and do not think about the consequences that might happen after the exam.  2. JUST CONSIDER CLAT AS ANOTHER MOCK-  CLAT should just be considered as another form of mock that you give every now and then. This will help you to reduce the anxiety and stress that the word EXAMINATION carries with it.    3. WEAR COMFORTABLE CLOTHES AND CARRY ALL ESSENTIAL DOCS- Please wear super comfy clothes.  As CLAT is scampering towards you, the pressure would be severe, schedules hectic and anxiety levels at their peak combined with restless nights, for both freshers and droppers alike. The fluctuations in the marks would be a constant source of an identity crisis. One starts doubting one's work, worth, and existence. But as a reassurance, this is normal as D-day comes closer. This article is written to remind you of some of the basic points that will strengthen your preparation henceforth.  Some clarifications in the very beginning- CLAT is given by approximately 70000 people with the Tier I NLUs providing approximately 500 seats which is a selection ratio of 140:1. This incomplete statistic appears to be blood-curdling. But out of the total registered students, approximately 8000 don't appear for the exam and another 8000 get discounted for the PG course.
