HOW TO PREPARE FOR MATHS IN CLAT FOR CLAT 2022
Most students do not give emphasis to this section under the approach chod bhi denge toh kya fark pdega. But to be honest it will create a lot of difference when the NLU selections take place. Even a 0.25 mark can lead you to get a better NLU. Since this is the smallest section (in terms of questions) you need not give a lot of time for the preparation but even if you practice questions weekly you can get a decent score.
1. It is important to bust a myth right in the beginning that maths questions can only be solved by those who have taken maths in their 11th and 12th. In reality, the questions that are asked are from your high school books and are not that tough.
2. Before solving questions ensure that you know the basics. It is better to make notes for formulas (for example mensuration) and revise them timely.
3. Use RS Aggarwal or any book that has pictorial or diagrammatical questions related to pie charts, and bar graphs among others to solve questions.
4. Do not skip this section. Even if you give 10 minutes you can get close to 7-8 marks if you have decent speed. However, if it comes as a trade-off between sections where let's imagine that you only have 10 minutes, in the end, give those minutes to that section that will help you to score better marks.
5. If you are not good at maths do not solve all the questions. Since this section would be a mix of tough and easy questions, solve the easy questions. For this read the question, if you are able to understand this, then give it a shot otherwise prefer to leave.
